last year I saw 55 movies in total. I was writing them all down in my little blue book and rating them from 1 to 10. here's the short list that got either 9/10 or 10/10:

my band of the year is definitely rasabasa. they were right under my nose for ages but only in 2012 I've realized how amazing they are.

next up in the run, bon iver. listening to them live in heineken opener was one of the musical highlights of the year for me.

last.fm also says that I was listening to lana del rey a lot. so not true.

books

2012 can be called 'a struggle to finish a book' year. I've registered on goodreads.com half a year ago and noticed that my 'currently-reading' section stays the same for far too long. the only book I managed to finish and quite enjoyed was 'All Families Are Psychotic' by Douglas Coupland. ONE FREAKIN' BOOK! I think it's high time for me to join those reading challenges and set myself a goal to read, say, at least 10 books in 2013.

tv series

last year I complained that there's no decent not-about-fbi-and-not-about-superpowers tv series to watch and my oh my, I got a perfect one a couple of months after. and it was Girls. psssst: the second season is coming out in 2 weeks!

also, last year I finally got and lost myself into the American version of The Office. Sha-ta-ta-ta-ta! It's sad, though, that after Steve Carell left the show it lost 70% of its charm.

and finally, the one and only, Twin Peaks. I think I was too young to see it when it was on tv 20 years ago but now, in 2012 I ate it having 2 or 3 episodes a night with a cup of hot chocolate on a side.

and, if last year I still called Gossip girl my guilty pleasure, this year I can only say: the biggest disappointment of the televisional year.
